Offer: Internship Urban Studies at transSCAPE

The Werkstatt transSCAPE: Cultural Spaces of Knowledge, part of the transfer initiative tranSPORT, which is tasked with the regenration of Magdeburg's Science Port, is offering two internship positions in the area of Urban Studies via EU GREEN. Within EU GREEN’s broader framework, the internship supports the creation of robust scientific communities across Europe, enabling students to act as mediators between academia and society. This is achieved through direct experience in the transfer field. The research connects directly to several UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular, SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) as well as SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

Tasks
  • participatory engagement: supporting workshops, town hall meetings, and co- creation sessions with local stakeholders
  • visualization & dissemination: producing reports and exhibition materials for both academic and public audiences.
  •  gain methodological skills in urban cultural studies
  • learn to apply qualitative research tools (workshop documentation, participatory evaluation)
  • acquire competences in project-based collaboration and transfer between academia, city institutions, and the economic/medical technology sector
